They were combined to a single basin delineation feature class for Hillsborough County Watersheds. The features were checked for topology error and fixed to include gaps and to remove the overlaps between subbasins and watersheds. Then, they were dissolved in ArcGIS by watershed to get the watershed boundary. The goal of the Watershed Management Plan (WMP) update was to upgrade the Hillsborough County Stormwater Management Model (HCSWMM) and floodplain mapping for the watersheds throughout the County.The update of the WMP was necessary due to the tremendous amount of development that has occurred throughout the county. The watershed model updates were based on digital topographic data, land use, aerial photography and recent development within each watershed.
