This point dataset features sidewalk ramp locations within Hillsborough County. A sidewalk ramp, sometimes referred to as an ADA ramp, serves to provide wheel chair access from a sidewalk to the roadside for purpose of crossing the street. There may or may not be a painted cross walk. There needs to be some attempt at creating a stable, travelable surface from the slope of the intersecting sidewalk and the road surface in order to qualify. There are a large variety of ramps present in Hillsborough County \u2026 standards have varied over the years. They may vary from a simple base and top landing to more elaborate configurations.
