Description: Location and attributes for flood insurance risk zones on the FIRM. The National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL) data incorporates all Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) databases published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and any Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs) that have been issued against those databases since their publication date. It is updated on a monthly basis. The FIRM Database is the digital, geospatial version of the flood hazard information shown on the published paper FIRMs. The FIRM Database depicts flood risk information and supporting data used to develop the risk data. The primary risk classifications used are the 1-percent-annual-chance flood event, the 0.2-percent-annual-chance flood event, and areas of minimal flood risk. The FIRM Database is derived from Flood Insurance Studies (FISs), previously published FIRMs, flood hazard analyses performed in support of the FISs and FIRMs, and new mapping data, where available. The FISs and FIRMs are published by FEMA. The NFHL is available as State or US Territory data sets. Each State or Territory data set consists of all FIRM Databases and corresponding LOMRs available on the publication date of the data set. The specification for the horizontal control of FIRM Databases is consistent with those required for mapping at a scale of 1:12,000. This file is georeferenced to the Earth's surface using the Geographic Coordinate System (GCS) and North American Datum of 1983.NFHL Layer Downloaded 08092018 from FEMA website and reprojected to NAD 1983 State Plane feet coordinate system( https://msc.fema.gov/portal/advanceSearch#searchresultsanchor) . Description: This data set is a digital soil survey and generally is the most detailed level of soil geographic data developed by the National Cooperative Soil Survey. The information was prepared by digitizing maps, by compiling information onto a planimetric correct base and digitizing, or by revising digitized maps using remotely sensed and other information. This data set replaces the SSOILS data in previous versions of FGDL.shapefile format. Note: This Soil Survey Geographic (SSURGO) database for Florida - September 2018) was downloaded from Florida Geographic Data Library] (FGDL) website (https://www.fgdl.org/metadataexplorer/explorer.jsp) . The dataset was in Albers Conical Equal Area projection and reprojected into NAD_1983 StatePlane_Florida_West_FIPS_0902 using Geographic Transformation: NAD_1983_To_HARN_Florida.

Description: This data set, ELAPP, shows lands connected with ELAPP (Environmental Land Acquisition Protection Program) for Hillsborough County. It provides the approximate locations of properties preserved through the ELAP Program. These are lands approved for preservation through ELAPP, other public lands held for open space and/or preservation, and certain areas preserved through the development process.

Description: This data represents areas which potentially support the presence of Significant Wildlife Habitat as defined by the land development code. Field verification of designated areas would be Significant Wildlife Habitats (SWH), Hillsborough County, Florida (Unincorporated Hillsborough County only).required to substantiate the presence of Significant Wildlife Habitat. Proposed by Planning & Growth Management's Natural Resources Division, February, 2007. It was adopted by Hillsborough County's Board Of County Commissioners (BOCC) on December 13, 2007.
